NEW YEARS RETREAT • PERU 2017
An amazing trip to bring in the New Year! It was luxury in the purest sense—nature, spirit and deep connections. We had so many beautiful experiences with the shaman, meditating at Machu Picchu, hiking the ruins, and of course, the really amazing yoga!

NEW YEAR’S RETREAT
PERU & MACCHU PICCHU
DECEMBER 29, 2017 – JANUARY 5, 2018
Tap into the powerful spirit and majestic beauty of the Andes Mountains on this transformational Peru & Machu Picchu New Year’s Retreat! From our charming and luxurious retreat resort in the Sacred Valley, we will hike magnificent valleys, take part in shaman-led ceremonies, explore ancient Incan temples and spend two days in sacred Machu Picchu.
Flow of the Day
MORNINGS begin in meditative silence as we move into our Vinyasa yoga class and meditation session in the beautiful round adobe yoga studio. Our highly experienced and beloved teacher, Hillary Wright from New York City, weaves breath, strength, flexibility and awareness into a moving meditation that accommodates beginners through advance practitioners. Following yoga we eat a delicious breakfast to prepare us for the beautiful day ahead!
AFTERNOONS may include a hiking excursion to the Incan Temple of the Sun, a wander in the colorful markets of P’isac, or meditating on ancient stones in Machu Picchu. We design this retreat to balance down and retreat time with hikes, excursions and historic / cultural adventures. Depending on the day’s excursions, we re-convene for a gentle and rejuvenating pranayama and yoga session under the setting sun.
EVENINGS begin with a beautifully presented traditional vegetarian meal prepared by our local hosts — and may include a shaman ceremony at the fire, a New Year’s ritual in the kiva, or an early-to-bed leisurely sleep your cozy room. We sleep 6 of our 7 nights at our magical retreat place, and one night in Machu Picchu.

JAN 5 Departure to Cusco

The retreat exceeded my expectations in every way. Everything about the trip was wonderful and my last decision to join was truly one of the best decisions I made during 2015. The itinerary was perfectly paced – a stop at Moray Circles en route to the retreat center, a full day to Pisaq, then two quiet days over new years at the retreat center, the big excursion to Machu Picchu, then a final day to decompress at the retreat center before heading home. While I had thought that I would want more time at Machu Picchu, the two half days were very full and sufficient time. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I returned feeling more relaxed and refreshed than I thought possible, as well as filled with gratitude for a beautiful and nurturing experience.

An experience I will never forget! Perfection—the best hotel and hospitality I’ve ever received anywhere in the world. I would recommend an Exotic Yoga Retreat to anyone who asks! My heart is overflowing as a result of the warmth, connection and spirit of all the wonderful people involved!
—Simon Jarvis, Australia
This is, without a doubt, one of the best experiences of my life. I have made connections with people and myself that I never would have expected. Those connections will be in my heart and help me be a better version of myself for the rest of my life.
I really loved the people and the location. The group was fantastic and Peru was fabulous!
