Explore and adventure the exotic turquoise coast and Dalmatian islands on this 8-day luxury Croatia Yoga Cruise! Discover hidden beaches, secret coves and charming coastal villages — in style aboard a luxurious 8 guest-cabin wooden gulet, equipped with paddle boards, mouth-watering Mediterranean cuisine and sumptuous island-grown wines. We offer two fabulous one-way routes, from Split to Dubrovnik, and Dubrovnik to Split.

MORNINGS arise with the sun and a Hatha-Vinyasa yoga practice on the spacious yoga deck. Imagine Tree Pose gazing into the azure blue of the Adriatic sea! After yoga and a morning swim, we will have breakfast and prepare to set sail or motor (1-3 hours) to our next destination.

AFTERNOONS offer a host of activities on a beautiful island — swimming, snorkeling, paddle-boarding, biking, exploring the exquisite nature and charming seaside villages — or choose to simply lounge and relax on deck with a book. We have a few group excursions planned, but give you plenty of time to choose exactly what kind of activity you’re in the mood for. Some lunches will be on-board, others are on your own in the island villages.

EVENINGS are pure magic as we close our day with sunset yoga and meditation. Some evenings we will dine under the stars on-board; other nights you are on your own or with new friends at a local island restaurant. All cuisine is locally sourced and prepared with traditional recipes of grilled fish, seafood and fresh vegetables. Rock gently to sleep in your cabin or directly on deck under the stars!

This will not be your typical touristic cruise. First, our groups are small and international, between 8-16 people from around the world!  Our local Croatian guide has designed an insider’s itinerary that brings us into remote and exquisite natural landscapes, with options to hike, mountain-bike, visit historic sites, go wine-tasting, explore charming island villages, and of course, lots of down time to swim and paddle-board in the crystal blue coves and beaches. As a private charter, we are free to change course and be spontaneous!

We have designed the days so that you can balance activity, play and exploration—with down time and lounging on deck. Days begin with yoga (which is always optional).  After breakfast and a swim or paddle-board, our captain will sail or motor 1–3 hours to our next destination while we enjoy the breeze and views of the Adriatic from our sun deck or shaded lounge.

Our Exotic Croatia Yoga Sail is aboard a luxurious 31-meter wooden gulet — one of the finest sailing vessels on the Adriatic coast!  This boat was custom-built in the traditional Croatian style, with a capacity to sail or motor, according to the weather and our daily route. The boat is fully (and delightfully!) staffed with daily house-keeping, a fabulous chef, an always smiling bartender, our lovely local guide/host, and of course, our captain, Filip!  There are 8 air-conditioned, en-suite guest cabins with either twin or queen beds. There is an indoor and outdoor dining room, a bar, and a spacious 160-meter upper deck with an optional shade screen perfect for lounging and practicing yoga. Our captain’s knowledge and experience in sailing and navigation will make the voyage not only comfortable, but also highly secure and relaxing.

NOTE:  This itinerary is On Exotic Yoga Retreats, we value spontaneity and flexibility—the sample itinerary below is just that, a sample. On a boat (and in life) itineraries change, due to weather, new opportunities, etc… we strive to be open to the moment!

Day of Arrival  ~  Meet at the Port of Dubrovnik at 4:00 pm to embark on your Exotic Croatia Yoga Cruise! Set sail to a secluded bay on the isle of Šipan, where we will have our opening yoga circle, followed by a delicious dinner on board our boat! Šipan, an island with a true Adriatic summer feel, populated with 150 residents, was appreciated by residents and nobility of Dubrovnik for its beauty, peace and picturesque countryside.

Day 2  ~  After morning yoga and breakfast, we will travel (1.5) hours to arrive in Pomena on the isle of Mljet. We’ll swim, relax and lunch on the boat, then offer you bicycles for a tour around the amazing salt water lakes in Mljet National Park. If you prefer to hike or canoe, the dense Aleppo pine forest is a majestic setting to experience nature at it’s purest. For those you who want to change up the pace, you may rent a scooter and explore the island on wheels!  Dinner is on your own in the tiny traditional village of Pomena.

Day 3 ~  Sunrise yoga sailing to Korcula, an island known for it’s natural beauty, small coves, beaches, and over 200 caves—most famous as the birthplace of Marco Polo! Wander and explore within the ancient walls of this typical medieval Dalmatian town, with it’s towers and red-roofed houses. Enjoy lunch on your own. After sunset yoga back on the boat, we will treat you to a traditional Dalmatian dinner on an organic family farm!

Day 4  ~ A very special day – we visit the famous island of Hvar! After yoga and breakfast we sail (2 hrs) past the beautiful Pakleni Islands to arrive in the port of Hvar. Lunch is on-board, with the remaining afternoon free to wander and sight-see in this historic city. Hike to the hilltop castle for awe-inspiring views or traverse the winding alleys with shops and cafes. Hvar is a city whose beauty comes alive at night. Enjoy dinner on your own, and possibly a little island night-life!  (There will not be an afternoon yoga session this day).

Day 5  ~  After yoga and a swim in the sea, we will breakfast and sail (2 hrs) to the mysterious isle of Vis, known for it’s authentic culture, traditional vineyards and clean waters rich in seafood and fish. Enjoy lunch on your own at an outdoor cafe, then perhaps book a wine tour at a local vineyard, or rent a mountain bike or scooter and explore the island. A lovely sunset dinner is offered on board. (There will not be an afternoon yoga session this day).

Day 6  ~  Salute the sun and meditate on the sea, followed by breakfast and our first jump into the turquoise waters of the Adriatic, with a few hours to play and paddle board in a lovely bay. Lunch is on board while we sail (2.5 hrs) to arrive in Bol, on the isle of Brac. The evening is free to wander the charming little village which offers a variety of local restaurants for you to dine on your own, and a fabulous winery offering evening wine tasting if you choose to partake!

Day 7  ~  Enjoy our final full day together in  secluded bay on the isle of Solta, — swimming, playing, practicing yoga and savoring our last moments together on this Croatia Yoga Cruise!  We will end the day with a closing yoga circle and dinner on board celebrating a fabulous week together!

1. Is this trip for me… I’ve never been on a boat before?

Very few of our guests have been on similar trips before joining us. Nearly all of them have said it is one of the best holidays they have ever had. Sailing on a gullet is an amazing experience, both active and relaxing with a great mix of lounging in the sun surrounded by stunning scenery and great fun at night. Living on a boat for a week is a thrill and you’ll get used to the lifestyle very quickly.

2. What about sea-sickness?

The waters are generally calm in this section of the Adriatic Sea. Rarely is sea-sickness a problem with any guests. If you do have slight sea-sickness, you may want to bring ginger or dramamine.

3. Weather in Croatia

June and September are just on either side of the high summer season in the Dalmation Islands of Croatia. Therefore it is less touristic and not quite as hot. The average daily temperature is 75 degrees farenheit with lows of 65 and highs of 80. The water temperature is about 72 degrees fahrenheit. Most days are sunny with small chance for rain. You will likely need a sweater for evenings as the sea breeze can be cool on the boat. For current weather conditions please view this weather link.

4. Travel Visa

Please check if your passport is valid for at least 90 days. Depending on your nationality, you may or may not need a Visa to travel to Croatia. You may check via this link: Visa

5. Money | Cash | Credit Cards

Yes, you will want money for lunches/ dinners that are on your own and any additional services or gifts you may choose to purchase while in Croatia. We will be visiting many seaside villages. You may use ATM machines in Split and pay with EURO or the local currency, KUNA or use a credit card nearly everywhere.

6. Wifi

Don’t count on wifi on-board, though you can certainly find wifi in cafes and restaurants in all the ports we anchor in. This is an opportunity to “un-plug” and enjoy the beautiful natural environment of our sailing holiday.

7. Cell Service

Depending on your carrier, you may have cell service at different points on the cruise.

8. Power Adaptor

Bring several… you’ll need them at airports and on the boat. Electrical outlets are standard European 2-prong, type C and type F. Voltage is 230V.

9. Tips & Gratuities

Our crew is amazing. . . five cheerful people crewing the boat, cooking, cleaning and looking after us! It is customary to leave a tip for the crew of $15-20 per day (approx. $100-150 for the week). In restaurants a 10% tip is a nice offering.

10. Yoga Props

We have yoga mats and blocks for you on-board!
